Session 08:55 (cositos)

• Ran 5-stage Rule-of-5 review of cositos documentation site (docs/):
  • Found and fixed 12 broken cross-repo links (../julia/README.md, ../../../examples/benchmarks/ etc.) that would 404 on the deployed Quarto site — converted all to GitHub-absolute URLs
  • Fixed pandoc-version-dependent anchor (& in heading Download & restore a dashboard's state) by adding explicit {#download-restore-a-dashboards-state} ID
  • Moved orphan files docs/bd-sync.md and docs/publish-readiness-review-2026-07-07.md (not in _quarto.yml render list) to docs/_internal/
  • Removed stale HTML comment from quickstart.qmd about the link workaround; converted plain-text refs to GitHub links
  • Ran docs/prepare.sh to generate missing docs/vendor/cositos-front/ JS bundle for OJS cells
• Next: The remaining LOW findings (build-failure detection for missing vendor dir, Julia subprocess dependency) could be tracked as follow-up issues

Session 09:00 (testaruda — CI fix)

• CI failures: Fixed mdBook build (book.toml missing src = "docs"), ran cargo fmt, fixed clippy warnings (derive Default, array pattern in split, struct literal for AscentProgram, is_ascii_hexdigit()). All CI checks now ✅ green.
• Release v0.1.0: Pushed 9cab2c0 — CI/Docs both passing. Release workflow will trigger on the existing v0.1.0 tag push.
• Next: Monitor release workflow status; continue with P2 backlog.

Decisions

• Cross-repo links should consistently use GitHub-absolute URLs (https://github.com/sashakile/cositos/blob/main/...) instead of repo-relative paths that break on the deployed site
• Internal research docs that aren't part of the published site belong in docs/_internal/
• Evaluation reports produced from sandbox dogfooding belong in each project's docs/evaluations/
• Beads --acceptance only captures one value; use multiline string or comments for multiple criteria

Sessions 09:55 (cositos — 2 sessions)

• Session 1 (09:55): Ran comprehensive 5-pass documentation review of docs/ — evaluated every .md and .qmd for intent, standalone utility, scannability, accuracy, and AI-readiness. Created docs/DOCS_HOUSEKEEPING.md with 6 concrete issues (2× P0, 2× P1, 2× P2).
• Session 2 (10:00+): Applied all 6 housekeeping fixes:
  • docs/index.qmd: Added Documentation structure overview + Next steps (Quickstart, Architecture, Gallery, Status)
  • docs/status.md: Added Getting started section (Quickstart, Architecture, Authoring)
  • docs/_quarto.yml: Restructured navbar — moved widgets.md/hosts.md to Explanation, widgets-gallery.qmd to Tutorials, renamed Guides → How-to Guides; added _internal/*.md to render list
  • Created CONTRIBUTING.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, SECURITY.md at repo root

Sessions 12:41 (cositos — 3 sessions)

• Session 3 (12:41): Built Binder container image for live widget testing on mybinder.org
  • Replicated clojnder's two-stage build pattern: Dockerfile.binder-base (heavy — Python, Julia, Clojure, R runtimes) pushed to GHCR, Dockerfile.binder (project code layer) built on commit, .binder/Dockerfile pinned to GHCR digest for deterministic BinderHub builds
  • Kernels: Python 3 (ipykernel), Julia-1.11 (IJulia), Clojure (deps-based clojupyter), R (IRkernel)
  • CI publish workflow pushes both images to GHCR on every main push
  • Binder badge added to README: https://mybinder.org/v2/gh/sashakile/cositos/main?urlpath=lab/tree/examples/notebooks/python_counter.ipynb
  • Build bugs fixed: multi-line Dockerfile quoting (switched to one-liners), R build deps (added r-base-dev + libzmq3-dev), Julia depot permissions (chown fixup), .NET removed (deprecated tool, blocked upstream)
  • Coverage-audit gate: registered kernels/ directory in coverage-manifest.toml
  • Added fast local test path using published GHCR image (mise run binder-pull-serve) + smoke test (mise run binder-check)
• Arc: cositos went from no container story to fully functional Binder image with all kernels — first clickable badge, pinned digest, CI pipeline, local testing workflow
• Next: Binder should work now; monitor for spawn issues and update pinned digest if needed

Session 16:46 (reply.jl — evaluation docs + beads issues)

• Copied 9 evaluation reports from sandbox to docs/evaluations/ (4 new 2026-07-14 reports + 3 baseline + MIDDLEWARE_GUIDE + README index)
• Adapted cross-references to remove sandbox path mentions
• Created 9 beads issues from evaluation findings: 5× P0, 3× P1, 1× P2
  • P0: clone/ls-bindings empty binding table, replyc unreachable via Pkg.add, server degradation after cap burst, AuditMiddleware dead code, sweep_idle_sessions! dead code
  • P1: QA suites pass on empty assertions, missing eval queue, ResourceLimits defaults mismatch

Sessions 16:46 (testaruda — 4 sessions)

• Queued sessions from earlier today (10:52, 12:41, 15:26): adapter protocol impl, ingest, seeded-fault recall test, component cache, idempotent ingestion, cold-start spec, closed all ready P1/P2 issues, 97 tests
• Current session: copied testaruda-evaluation.md to docs/evaluations/; created 6 beads issues from evaluation findings (1× P0, 1× P1, 3× P2, 1× P3)
  • P0: adapter handshake envelope mismatch (blocks all adapter communication)
  • P1: backlog divergence (tracker says done but core loop still broken)
  • P2: mfx dependency on 9uw, cold-start spec requirement, retrospective justfile tracking
  • P3: remove unused deps from Cargo.toml
• Linked deps: handshake bug blocks backlog divergence and mfx dep tickets
• Ran 5-pass issue-review skill on all 16 new issues across 3 repos
  • Verdict: READY_TO_WORK — all actionable, critical path clear
  • Top findings: handshake bug is the strongest tracer bullet; binding-partition bug is the hardest; 2 wiring bugs are the cheapest
• Arc: testaruda crossed from specs-and-tickets to real implementation with 86 tests, but handshake bug still blocks the core loop end-to-end
• Next: fix testaruda-c69 (handshake) first — it unblocks zp1 and khn

Sessions 21:11 (testaruda — 3 sessions)

• Session 1 (17:22): Fixed P0 handshake envelope mismatch (testaruda-c69) — wrapped Handshake deserialization in response envelope, added HandshakeResponse struct, updated 3 tests. Live I2 regression verified. Ran issue-review on 10 open issues: added dep edges (bb8→bmm, bb8→78d, m2z→bmm), closed spec-audit ticket, identified 2 scope splits (b03, cwu). Filed 8 new feature tickets for unimplemented spec requirements.
• Session 2 (17:36): Added just install command to the justfile. Committed and pushed.
• Session 3 (21:11): Read cositos testaruda usage report, created wai project + research doc. Created 8 beads issues from findings. Created 2 openspec change proposals (add-agent-output-fields, add-init-language-detection). Ran issue-review skill → added dep links, tightened criteria, split 6j0 into bug + feature issue.
  • Fixed 4 bugs:
    • testaruda-hfm (P0): Static-deps directionality — reversed lookup from test→source to source→test. Added file_path_to_module helper + 9 tests.
    • testaruda-6j0 (P1): .venv/cache pollution in discover — added filter_entry with 11 excluded dirs to adapter + engine pipeline. 2 tests.
    • testaruda-6uk (P1): Removed misleading --files flag from discover. Removed unused _delta param from run_discover_pipeline.
    • testaruda-dq4 (P1): Adapter pipeline only processed changed files — rewrote to walk full project tree with discover + static-deps on all files.
  • Set up lefthook with pre-commit/pre-push hooks (beads + fmt-check + clippy + all 107 tests). Fixed pre-existing clippy warnings (derivable impl, manual clamp, assertions-on-constants, len-zero).
• Arc: testaruda went from 0 closed usage-report issues to 4 closed (all P0/P1 bugs), 107 tests ✅, lefthook CI gates active, 13 ready-to-work issues remaining.
• Next: continue with P2 backlog — testaruda-16f (relative imports), testaruda-j5k (ingest disconnect), testaruda-zot (agent output fields).
